Project Update – High Street Slough

We have been busy working hard on winning and completing office fit-out projects across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and the Home Counties. As the business world begins its long road to recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic, we are finding more businesses need upgrades and updates to their premises.

The Premises

The project is based in Slough, Aurora House to be specific. This is a 3,239sqft (301 sqm) space in the former Prudential Building, located right in the heart of the busy shopping area of Slough’s High Street.

Slough is one of the busiest business hubs in the country and we have worked extensively in the area in recent years to ensure that new businesses and the wealth of talent they attract are accommodated in state-of-the-art office environments.

The space occupies the first floor of the prominent building and is a short walk to Slough Bus and Railway stations; and just a stone’s throw from the new Curve Building and Moxy Hotel.

The offices offer a bright and flexible working environment, perfect for the post-covid workforce with up-to-date facilities and spacious workspaces to accommodate full-time and hotdesking members of staff.

The Works

We were instructed to install new Mechanical & Electrical Systems with CDP (contractors design portion) as well as installing new ceilings and flooring. We completed a complete strip out of the old décor and systems and replaced them with new Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Alarm, Security and Door Entry Systems with CDP (Contractors design portion).

We also installed brand-new Male & Female Toilets, a tea point, ceilings and flooring along with all decorations.

We were delighted to complete all the works on time, within budget, and to the highest quality; we had absolutely no Health and Safety issues throughout the entire project.

I am delighted to have completed this complex project for Equistates alongside JHA which included new incoming water and electrical supplies which was a challenge dealing with utilities company while in Covid restriction which had residential tenants above and retail tenants below.
